Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Black Marlin Zone LLC ("we", "us"), the operator of PurchaseCheck, handles personal information when you use the PurchaseCheck website, browser extension and web app (the "Service"). We do not sell your personal information.
1. Information we collect
- Waitlist and account information: your email address and, if you subscribe, your plan and billing status.
- Pages you choose to check: when you click the PurchaseCheck button or submit a link, we process that product page's content (such as title, price, specifications, seller terms and public reviews). The extension does not read pages you have not asked it to check.
- Information you type: requirements or product details you provide, used for that analysis. Plus subscribers may save a buyer profile, which they can edit or delete at any time.
- Payment information: handled by Stripe. We receive limited details (such as the last four digits and expiry of your card) but never your full card number.
- Technical information: a random install identifier, basic usage events (for example that a check completed) and security logs, used to run the Service, prevent abuse and enforce plan limits. Network addresses used for abuse prevention are stored as one-way keyed hashes.
The extension never collects your passwords, payment details, cookies, form entries or browsing history.
2. How we use information
- To provide analyses, saved items, alerts and reports you request;
- to manage accounts, subscriptions and billing;
- to secure the Service and prevent fraud and abuse;
- to improve accuracy, using aggregated and de-identified information;
- to contact you about early access, your account or important changes. You can unsubscribe from non-essential emails at any time.
3. Service providers
We share information only with providers that help us run the Service, under contracts that limit their use of it: payment processing (Stripe), database and authentication hosting (Supabase), website hosting, email delivery, and AI model providers that process the text of the product pages you check. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
4. Retention
We keep account information while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time, which deletes your history, saved products, watchlist, alerts and profile. Billing records are kept as long as required for tax and accounting purposes. Waitlist emails are deleted on request or when the waitlist ends.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email info@blackmarlinzone.com. We will respond within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
6. Cookies
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. The app stores only what it needs to keep you signed in on your device.
7. Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls, and database row-level security. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you of a breach as required by law.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where required by local law), and we do not knowingly collect their information.
9. International transfers
We are based in the United States and our providers may process information in other countries, with safeguards as required by applicable law.
10. Changes
We will post updates here and, for material changes, notify you by email or in the Service.
